No idea how or why but I believe that the happiness you can have in your life consists of small short moments that you must take advantage of, not miss to enjoy compared to the bigger things. A friend and I were chatting about how most people would plan so far ahead into their future lives and forget to live in the NOWS. We both felt if some of us were to neglect what deserves our attention and care in the present moment, it is not going to be in alignment nor will it be relevant with what will manifest in the future. To live, work and enjoy what is available in the moment itself are just as important. In short, it is the little things that matters. Be it a smile from a stranger, the scent of a flower or a beautiful butterfly fluttering past. I have never had what I thought would make me happy in life, in fact I have had dreams of a life that never came true. I mourn it but yet there were many small moments of happiness - grateful I can see them and be able to smile at them. Seeing things as butterflies has helped me find contribution to my existence where doing otherwise might have had me feeling consumed by bitterness and viewing them as a drumbeat of failure.
